After 5 months of crazy AI, the biggest lesson remained the same

I first taught this Vibe Code course 5 months ago and while the tech has changed, the biggest lesson remained the same:

Everyone can build now, so building is no longer the moat. Knowing WHAT to build, WHO it's for, and WHY they'll pay is.

So Day 1 was all about creating the skills that matter no matter what happens with the tech.

I gave everyone a Skill that walks you through where to start no matter where you are at:

  • A: The Explorer - "I want to build but don't know what"
  • B: The Sniper - "I know WHO but not WHAT"
  • C: The Insider - "I have clients, building for them"
  • D: The Scratcher -"I'm solving my own problem"

All four converge to → The Strategic Brief which takes them through another guided exercise using 3 of my favorite frameworks…

Jobs to Be Done→The Mom Test→Obviously Awesome

It is going slow to go fast so that you are not wasting time, money, tokens, resources, and building a better product for the people who need it.
